Small Launch Vehicle*
Deep Planet, in partnership with VisSidus Technolgies in Maui, is developing an ultra low cost suborbital launch vehicle. We have operated one succesful flight here on the SpaceCoast of Florida. The vehicle reached an altitude of 4,000ft.
Osprey mk1, the first of a series of development vehicles, is expected to launch sometime late 2022.

NASA Entrepreneur's Challenge
Our team developed a novel Convolutional Neural Network adaptation of a "U-Net," that demonstrated high accuracy in pixel-wise labeling geological features on Jupiter's Icy Moon, Europa.
A major challenge of the raw data of Europa's surface is that it is limited to only about 180 800x800 pixel images, due to the high gain antenna anomaly from the Galileo mission. Despite this limited training dataset size, Deep Planet successfully was able to discover an architecture capable of high accuracy on test and validation images.
We intend to further demonstrate in the future that this architecture can label images on low SWaP-C hardware, for on-orbit and edge deployed solutions.
